Being a mom can be hard. We need Jesus and we need His Word. I know from experience that sometimes when you are exhausted, worried, stressed, or just plained overwhelmed, it is nice to have a guide on what to read in the Bible. Something like a devotional, a daily Scripture reading plan, or just a list of verses to look up and read. That is why I wanted to share some of my favorite, go-to verses with you!
BIBLE VERSES TO ENCOURAGE MOMS
Hebrews 4:16 – So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Galatians 6:9 – So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
Psalm 127:3 – Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.
Isaiah 26:3 – You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
Isaiah 41:13 – For I hold you by your right hand – I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid, I am here to help you.’
Psalm 37:5 – Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you.
Psalm 121:1-8 – I look up to the mountains – does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord Himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.
Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Isaiah 40:11 – He will feed His flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in His arms, holding them close to His heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.
Isaiah 40:28-31 – Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faith.
Lamentations 3:22-24 – The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance, therefore, I will hope in Him!”
Matthew 11:28-30 – Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
